Vanderveer Industrial Plastics receives ITAR Registration from U.S. Department of State

Placentia, California, June 17, 2014.—Vanderveer Industrial Plastics, a leading distributor and fabricator of high-performance thermoplastics and thermoset composites and laminates, announced today that they have received their official International Traffic in Arms regulations (ITAR) registration from the United States Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. To qualify for ITAR registration, Vanderveer Industrial Plastics met strict requirements for company structure, security, record keeping, and procedures for handling of sensitive military and intelligence applications.

ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) is a set of U.S. government laws that control the import and export of defense-related articles and services on the U.S. Munitions List.  This registration documents Vanderveer Industrial Plastics dedication to adhering to the laws that dictate the export and import of defense-related articles and services. ITAR laws were designed to regulate the information and materials of military connected technologies and ensure that military technologies are solely shared with United States of America persons unless approval from the Department of State is received via a special exemption. The registration of a corporation to comply with ITAR laws permits them to work in conjunction with the United States of America military and expresses the company's obligation to handle ITAR protected merchandise in line with all laws.

ITAR registration positions Vanderveer Industrial Plastics to further demonstrate our commitment to and understanding of government market segments. Receiving ITAR certification expands the base of projects we can, will, and are able to accept, and offers increased flexibility to our customers whose products we are already manufacturing and who currently have projects that need ITAR certification. This is simply another step in Vanderveer Industrial Plastics mission to fabricate high-quality, superior, close-tolerance components to be used in a wide array of applications.
